(WLUK) --The next WeatherMaker is Winter Storm Destiny, and it is rapidly approaching. Snow from Winter Storm Destiny will begin after midnight tonight.
Snow will be heavy at times and will continue all-day tomorrow with significant accumulation around the area.
The heaviest snow likely falls during the morning through around 1 PM and gradually tapers off in the evening.
A Winter Storm Warning is in place for the entire area for Monday Night and Tuesday. (See alert below).
By the time the snow ends late Tuesday, 9-13 inches of snow is expected for most of our area.
In addition to the snow, the winds will increase to 10 to 20 mph from the northeast. Winds could gust to 30 miles per hour at times.
The winds will lead to blowing and drifting of the snow. Travel on Tuesday will be very difficult and slippery, with low visibility.
Temperatures overnight hover in the 20s before dropping into the teens throughout Tuesday.
Destiny is long gone by Wednesday, leaving behind a mostly sunny sky and breezy westerly winds that day.
