Winter Storm Dan hits Northeast Wisconsin

Final forecast snow totals for Winter Storm Dan through Wednesday morning

(WLUK) -- Winter Storm Dan will continue for most of the night, with the snow finally tapering off sometime during the pre-dawn hours Wednesday.

There is a Winter Storm Warning until 7 AM Wednesday for most of the area as a result of all this wind and snow. (see alert below).

Expect another 1-3" of snow for overnight, with perhaps a little more along the Lakeshore where the snow lingers longest this evening. When all added up, most of the area will have received between 6 and 10 inches of snow by early Wednesday. Areas south of Appleton may end up in the 4 to 6" range.

The heavy snow and blowing snow this evening and tonight will make driving conditions hazardous.
