Two areas of the Fox River under slow-no-wake orders
(WLUK) -- Due to high water levels on the Fox River, both the Green Lake and Outagamie County Sheriff's Offices have declared slow-no wake zones.
In Outagamie County the order took effect Friday morning and will remain until the waters of the Fox River recede. During the order, boaters can not go faster than slow-no-wake in the waters within 500 feet of any permanent building.
Green Lake County's order covers the city of Berlin only. Deputies say violators can be fined for $232 if it's their first offense. Those who see violations are asked to call (920) 294-4000.
