(WLUK) -- Let's just cut straight to the chase here: This upcoming Memorial Day Weekend looks like it's going to be absolutely gorgeous, weather-wise.

Skies look like they're going to be sunny each day Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Highs will go from the upper 70s Saturday to the low 80s on Monday. Humidity will be low. And there is effectively zero chance for rain as things stand now.

And that is very unusual.

This is a breakdown of how many Memorial Day holiday weekends see three, two, one and zero days with precipitation recorded.

The majority of the time, at least one or two days will see at least some rain.

But historically speaking, in Green Bay, it's more likely to see some rain on all three days than it is to stay completely dry for all three days.

Now, you might notice that these totals only add up to 52 weekends, and Green Bay's record books go back more than 52 years.

But until 1971, Memorial Day wasn't on the last Monday of May; it was always May 30. So, we didn't get a long holiday weekend out of it like we do now.

And just five times since 1971 has there been not even a trace of rain reported on all three days of a Memorial Day weekend. Those are 1980, 1986, 1988, 1990 and most recently in 2003.

If you feel like you can't remember a completely dry Memorial Day weekend, I don't blame you. It's literally been 20 years since it has happened.
