GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- The Green and Gold will turn into the Blue and Gold this September.
The Packers say they will wear their alternate uniforms when they host the Denver Broncos Sept. 22 at Lambeau Field. The uniforms feature plain yellow helmets with green face masks, blue jerseys with yellow numbers and shoulder yokes, khaki-colored pants and blue-topped socks. The design is based on the team's 1937-48 look, a span in which Green Bay won two of its 13 NFL titles.
The current version of the throwback uniform was introduced in 2015 and has been worn a total of four times since then. The Packers are 2-2 in those games.
The Sept. 22 game is scheduled to kick off at noon and will be broadcast live on FOX 11.
