MADISON (WLUK) -- For three games this month Madison's local baseball team is changing its name to a Wisconsin favorite.
The "Wisconsin Cheese Curds" took to the field against the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders Thursday.
Players wore new jerseys featuring a cheese curds logo and checkered sleeves.
They even offered new merchandise fans could buy.
Every Thursday this month the team's chef will come up with three new cheese curd items to enjoy.
Tyler Isham, the Mallards General Manager says, "The biggest thing was that we just wanted to try something new and different and try to push the envelope and have fun out here.
Thursday's curd specials included a special take on the Philly cheese steak and a Mediterranean-inspired wrap.
