Signing day: Quidzinski among local athletes to sign

Notre Dame's Trudy Quidzinski signed her national letter of intent with Northern Illinois.

GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- Wednesday local athletes signed national letters of intent, including Notre Dam'e Trudy Quidzinski, who signed with Northern Illinois for women's soccer.

"I feel like I accomplished everything I wanted from my high school career and through everything I've done I feel like I've finally gotten to where I want to be," Quidzinski said. "It finally feels like I can be myself and thrive in what I wanted to do."

Quidzinski scored 26 goals and added 20 assists last season for Notre Dame, which finished 24-2 last season. She's happy her recruitment is finished.

"It fees like happiness," Quidzinski said. "Just been so fun to receive letters. It makes you feel great. It allows to see that you matter and that people are reaching out for and if they're doing that you have a skill people would like to see."
