FOX 11 Top 11: Trojans boys' new No. 1 team

    GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- It's a new year but it's not a new basketball season. Nonetheless, a lot happened over the Christmas break so it's time for new FOX 11 Top 11 boys' basketball rankings.

    There's a new No. 1 in Green Bay Southwest, which is the only perfect team in the Fox River Classic Conference. The Trojans supplant Kimberly from the top spot after the Papermakers suffered their first loss of the season.

    At No. 2 is undefeated Roncalli, followed by Kimberly, Appleton West and Kaukauna.

    There are four new teams in the rankings in Little Chute, Denmark, Iola-Scandinavia and Southern Door.

    1. Green Bay Southwest (8-0): Will Pytleski has become the program's all-time leading scorer. Previous ranking: No. 2.

    2. Roncalli (10-0): Last two wins have come by a combined 76 points. Previous ranking: No. 3.

    3. Kimberly (7-1): Five of the next seven games are on the road. Previous ranking: No. 1.

    4. Appleton West (8-2): Will Mahoney has scored at least 17 points in every game this season. Previous ranking: No. 4.

    5. Kaukauna (6-2): Three players are averaging more than 15 ppg. Previous ranking: No. 5.

    6. Lourdes Academy (8-1): Only loss this season came at Dominican. Previous ranking:No. 8.

    7. Little Chute (6-2): Mustangs have won five straight games. Previous ranking: unranked.

    8. Denmark (6-2): Vikings have won five straight games. Previous ranking: unranked.

    9. Iola-Scandinavia (8-0): Justin Sivertson averaging 18 ppg. Previous ranking: unranked.

    10. Southern Door (7-2): Eagles are the only perfect team in Packerland play. Previous ranking: unranked.

    11. Freedom (6-2): Irish co-leading the NEC with Denmark. Previous ranking: No. 6.

    --Dropped out: No. 7 Pulaski (5-2), No. 9 Manitowoc Lutheran (7-4), No. 10. Luxemburg-Casco (5-2), No. 11 Wrightstown (6-3).
