Ashwaubenon's Servais at center for Syracuse
GREEN BAY - With fall football camps on the horizon, local high school football standouts like Ashwaubenon's Airon Servais have a few days left before they return to college for the upcoming season.
The former Jaguars star decided to spent his time in Green Bay, hold an offensive line clinic this past week for current members of the program.
The 6-foot-6, 300 lb. talent played both sides of the ball in the FRCC but is dedicated to offense at Syracuse.
After redshirting last season, Servais is expected to start at center for the Orange this upcoming season.
Leading a division I offensive line is a significant role, especially for a freshman. However, Servais says it's an opportunity he's worked hard to prove he can handle.
"You grow up dreaming about this , especially in high school," Servais said. "It's your dream to get to that next level so for it to finally be here and have it right in front of my feet. I'm just ready to grab it, it's huge and I'm really excited.
The tests will be significant for one of the newer additions to the ACC this fall.
"Really big game we're hosting the national champion Clemson coming to our town so that's going to be a big game," Servais said. "We're going down to LSU and we're going to play there, a lot of fun stuff on the schedule."
