OSHKOSH (WLUK) -- The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh men's basketball team hosted its second-annual Shooting It for Luke fundraising event Wednesday night.

It honors Luke Peters, a freshman at St. Mary Central High School in Fox Crossing. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor one week before his sixth birthday.

Luke was adopted by the team four years ago when he was in fifth grade.

All proceeds from Wednesday night's game will go directly to the Fox Valley Brain Coalition.

Luke says it's awesome to see all the support.

"Cool that everyone's come out, and to see everyone here," Peters said. "It's really cool how they just like have made me a part of their team."

Luke plays shooting guard or small forward for his high school. His team was there to support him at the game.
