Bucks' alternate uniform a nod to 'Cream City'
MILWAUKEE (WLUK) -- The Milwaukee Bucks have unveiled an alternate uniform that pays tribute to the architecture in their home city.
The cream-colored jerseys and shorts are a nod to Milwaukee's "Cream City" nickname. According to the Bucks, the clay found in the Menomonee River Valley was used to make the bricks that built many of the area's buildings and gave them the distinct color.
The Bucks are set to debut their newest uniforms Jan. 29 when they host the Philadelphia 76ers. The team says it will wear them five more times at home and seven times on the road.
The "Cream City" Edition jerseys and related retail items will go on sale to the public Thursday morning.
