FOX 11 Community Cares: WisconSibs
WisconSibs play a vital role in the quality of life for siblings with disabilities, often serving as caregivers, companions, and having the longest bond with them. Over 6,000,000 people in the United States have a disability, and most of them have at least one sibling. WisconsinSibs provides workshops, summer programs and future planning for siblings. Within the past 25 years, this organization has helped hundreds of children, teens and adults accept and thrive in light of the disability. And on June 9th, WisconSibs is offering a special training at Lambeau Field for people who want to be a Sibshop facilitator.

FOX 11 and Nicolet National Bank have teamed up to promote awareness of non-profit organizations across Northeast Wisconsin with a monthly campaign called “Community Cares.” Watch leaders from these organizations describe their mission and the way in which they reach out to people in their community. For each organization FOX 11 will provide an address or phone number for those who may wish to give a donation.
