FOX 11 Community Cares: Father Carr's Place 2B
Since 1974 Father Carr’s Place 2B has been a gathering place for people in the Oshkosh community. Initially a recreation spot, Father Carr’s grew to offer more opportunities and a shelter for homeless men, women, and children. They serve more than one thousand meals per week and offer a public food bank.
Sadly, Father Carr himself passed away in 2007, but his mission continues here in Oshkosh. Father Carr’s Place 2B has helped more than 1,200 individuals with shelter last year. For those suffering from physical, emotional, and mental stress, they offer the safe haven of temporary housing.
And they rely on the generosity of countless volunteers to keep our services and facilities running smoothly.
