Ice shoves pile up along shore of Canadian lake

SUNSET POINT, Alberta (CNN) -- Mary Lou Wilkes took these photos of ice that blew ashore from Lac St. Anne on Saturday in Sunset Point, Alberta.

Wilkes said the owner of this cabin used a Bobcat machine to push the ice away from the structure.

Here in Northeast Wisconsin, we're familiar with ice shoves. In March, ice shoves destroyed a cottage on the east side of Lake Winnebago.

Many people shared photos of ice shoves along the shorelines of lakes Winnebago and Michigan this spring. Take a look:
