(WLUK) -- Investigators are shifting gears and taking a new approach in the search of a missing Barron County teen.

The Barron County Sheriff's Department says due to the number of declining new tips, it will transition its Emergency Operations Center from a 24/7 reactive operation to a more deliberate and methodical effort.

Thirteen-year-old Jayme Closs went missing Oct. 15 after authorities found her parents, James and Denise Closs, shot to death inside their home. Investigators believe Jayme was inside the home at the time of the incident and was abducted.

The sheriff's office says it received more than 2,100 tips in more than two weeks. It says it will continue to thoroughly investigate any new tips coming in.

A reward seeking information in Jayme's whereabouts has climbed to $50,000.
