(WLUK) -- Powerball lottery players will get a third chance to strike it rich every week.
The Wisconsin Lottery says the Powerball will add a Monday drawing beginning Aug. 23. Current drawings are on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
All 48 U.S. lotteries will participate.
"According to the Powerball Product Group, we expect to see more cash prizes and higher jackpots awarded each year," Wisconsin Lottery director Cindy Polzin said in a news release.
Wisconsin is tied with Pennsylvania and Kentucky for fourth place on the list of most frequently winning Powerball states. There have been 18 jackpot wins in Wisconsin, most recently a $768.4 million prize in 2019.
