Herb Kohl Philanthropies donates $507,000 to Wisconsin teacher projects

(WLUK) -- Herb Kohl is showing some love to Wisconsin teachers on Valentine's Day.

Herb Kohl Philanthropies announced Thursday it will fund 924 Wisconsin teacher projects posted on educational crowdfunding site, DonorsChoose.org.

The $507,000 will help 755 teachers purchase classroom supplies, equipment, food, clothing and hygiene products for their students.

The donation will impact more than 84,000 students in 424 schools across the state.

On Friday morning, those teachers will receive an email reading, "you just got funded."
