MADISON (WLUK) -- It was a welcome home for a gold-medal winning Wisconsin Olympian.

Matt Hamilton was part of the championship men's curling team that rallied from the brink of elimination to win gold.

He and other members of the team arrived at Dane County airport Monday afternoon.

Among his greeters, his dog, Moosestache.

He says winning the gold medal was a surreal moment for him.

"Nothing's sunk in yet," Hamilton said. "Just to be able to perform with my team and play 100 percent is just amazing. Still hasn't hit me."

But Hamilton won't be home long. On Wednesday, the team will go to New York to be on NBC's Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
