Wisconsin’s 10th Senate District, Democrat Patty Schachtner, victor over Republican Adam Jarchow, a member of the state Assembly. Schachtner, a medical examiner in St. Croix County, won by 9 points — a massive swing in a district that former senator Sheila Harsdorf, a Republican, won in 2016 with 63.2 percent of the vote.
Gov. Scott Walker, a Republican, entered the race for president in 2016. He is now up for re-election and is polling under 50%, according to a Marquette Law School poll. President Trump is at 44% approval in Wisconsin in that same poll.
Democratic Sen. Tammy Baldwin is up for re-election. One of her potential opponents, Kevin Nicholson, recently switched from a Democrat to a Republican. His parents both maxed their contributions to the sitting senator.
Wisconsin is represented in the Senate as mentioned by Baldwin from the parties very left wing and Johnson from the Republican party’s far right wing.
