OSHKOSH (WLUK) -- The U.S. Army has placed a $235.2 million order with Oshkosh Defense to refurbish vehicles.

The vehicles are part of the Army's Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Trucks and Palletized Load System fleets.

Oshkosh Defense says it will refurbish 410 vehicles and manufacture 680 new PLS trailers. Refurbishing the vehicles involves upgrading them to the latest configuration. The vehicles are returned to like-new condition.

Deliveries of the units are scheduled to begin in the 2019 fiscal year.
