GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- A Green Bay business is making a difference in the lives of frontline heroes in the fight against COVID-19.

In just one week, Elevate97 pivoted from retail print and fulfillment operations to producing plastic protective face shields.

The shields protect the face and N95 face masks worn by healthcare professionals and first responders.

The first 30,000 face shields are now in production.

Tom Burgess, chief operating officer of Elevate97 said the company already had the vast majority of equipment to make the shields.

“We’re super proud of our Elevate team that came together for a single purpose and are able to work together to deliver a product that is in short supply and dire need right now," Burgess said.

If products keep coming in they can make 1 million to 1.5 million pieces in the next 30 days.
