DE PERE (WLUK) -- Women's soccer is coming to Green Bay this spring.
Green Bay Glory held tryouts for young athletes to showcase their skills on Sunday in De Pere.
They will play in the Women's Premier Soccer League, the largest women's soccer league in the world.
It features mostly high school and college-aged players.
However, the team hopes to go beyond the game.
"These girls are going to get a chance to get a chance to transition off the field--into life. So we're going to be focusing on a mentorship program, we'll be teaching the girls how to utilize their skills and their gifts on the field, but also off the field as well," said Kerry Geocaris, Green Bay Glory owner.
At least 25 athletes participated, which the team says will make deciding who makes the team tough.
