GRAND CHUTE (WLUK) -- A Fox Valley company showed off its latest training device Wednesday.
Werner Electric unveiled MIA (multi-function instrument asset), a mobile training simulator that allows employees and students to learn how to operate automated manufacturing equipment.
"So we'll use MIA as a vehicle for providing training to employees to up their skill-set technically in the area of process control and that'll help our customers have more access to more trained and qualified people, help us hire more employees for Werner," Werner president, Scott Teerlinck explained.
Governor Scott Walker says the training device will help fill the skills gap in Wisconsin's manufacturing workforce.
Teerlinck said it took more than a year to create MIA.
