Weapon fired several times in Greenville standoff

    GREENVILLE (WLUK) -- Authorities say a man fired a gun several times during a domestic disturbance in Greenville.

    The five-hour standoff began around 4 p.m. Sunday at a residence on Wisconsin Avenue in the town of Greenville.

    A 40-year-old woman was able to escape the home unharmed.

    A 48-year-old man remained inside the home with a weapon.

    The Outagamie County Emergency Response Team and the Brown - Outagamie Bomb Squad responded to the home.

    Around 9 p.m, officers located the man inside the home, deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

    The incident remains under investigation.
