Victim of crash in rural Rosendale identified

TOWN OF ROSENDALE (WLUK) -- Sheriff's officials have released the name of the man killed in a weekend crash on snowy roads in Fond du Lac County.

The crash happened just before 6 p.m. Saturday on Hwy. 23 in the area of Hwy. M in the Town of Rosendale.

An investigation showed a driver headed west crossed the center line and hit an oncoming vehicle head-on. The westbound driver, 34-year-old Rickey L. Allen of Lyndon Station, was taken to the hospital, where he died.

The eastbound vehicle was carrying a 22-year-old man from Mt. Calvary and a 22-year-old woman from Evergreen Park, Illinois. Both were taken to the hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries and released.

Three other people were killed on snow-covered roads in Fond du Lac County over the weekend. A crash in Alto killed two and a crash in the Town of Metomen killed one person.
