FOX CROSSING (WLUK) -- The Trestle Trail over Little Lake Butte des Morts has reopened, following the fatal shooting of a man by a police officer.

Fritse Park in Fox Crossing also opened earlier Thursday.

A police officer is on paid administrative leave after shooting a man who was holding a knife, according to the Fox Crossing Police Dept. Police say the man was acting "erratically" and approached members of the public in Fritse Park.

The Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation has been called in to investigate. DCI officials said on Thursday morning they did not have any new information to release.
