Traffic stop in Crandon yields crack cocaine and marijuana
CRANDON (WLUK) -- Two men were arrested after deputies found crack cocaine and marijuana inside their vehicle in Crandon.
On Wednesday around 9:30 a.m. deputies received a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Mole Lake.
Once located, deputies say they learned the passenger of the vehicle had a warrant out for his arrest through the Department of Corrections.
Forest County deputies made a traffic stop on the vehicle.
When they approached the vehicle, deputies say they noted a strong odor of marijuana.
The vehicle was searched and 20 individually packaged bags of crack cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash was seized, deputies say.
It was discovered the driver of the vehicle also had a warrant out for his arrest.
The two 29-year-old Milwaukee men, were taken into custody.
Deputies say they are recommending charges of felony possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine, THC and possession of drug paraphernalia.
