APPLETON (WLUK) -- The weekend's warm temperatures appear to have been the last straw for a stubborn snow pile in Appleton.

Even after enduring multiple hot and humid days so far this year, a snow pile inside the Yellow Ramp between Washington and Morrison streets would not go away.

On Monday, the city of Appleton announced it had some "sad news" to report:

According to FOX 11's recent poll, about 60 percent of voters said they thought the snow pile would at least last through this week, while 27 percent said it would hold on until the end of the month and about 12 percent believed the snow would stick around all summer.

Whether you're sad to see it go or not, one thing is for sure -- it will be back in a few months.
