Small plane crash in Shawano

Around 9:05 a.m. this morning a small aircraft crashed into a farm field in the Town of Waukechon off of Church Road.

A press release from the Shawano County Sheriff's Office stated a pilot and co-pilot were taken to Thedacare Hospital in Shawano with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash is under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration.

Responding on scene was Shawano Fire Department, Shawano County Sheriff's Office, Shawano Ambulance, Navarino EMS, and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
