HOWARD (WLUK) -- Authorities in Brown County are searching for two suspects who they say attached a skimming device on a payment card reader at a grocery store.

The incident happened at Woodman's Food Market on Duck Creek Parkway in Howard on Nov. 19 after 9:00 p.m.

Deputies say surveillance video shows a man and a woman went to a self-checkout with a few items. While the woman attempted to block surveillance cameras with a package of toilet paper, the man removes the card reader cover and places it into his jacket pocket, deputies say. The man then replaces the card reader cover with the skimming device.

A Woodman's employee discovered the skimming device and turned it over to authorities.

It is not known if the suspects were able to obtain any card information from customers.
