2 children, 1 man dead after crash in Shawano Co.

WAUKECHON (WLUK) -- Three people are dead after a crash that happened in Waukechon.

Wisconsin State Patrol says it happened Friday night around 9:33 on State Highway 29 near County Road T.

The Shawano County Sheriff's Office says just before 9:30 p.m., it received a call about a vehicle headed east in the west bound lanes.

A Dodge minivan was headed east in the westbound lane when it hit a Chrysler minivan, driven by a 34-year-old Manitowoc woman, head-on.

Thirty-eight-year-old Brian Bishop, of Bonduel, was driving a Dodge minivan the wrong way on State Highway 29, according to officials.

The man died in the crash. He was the only person in the car.

Six people were in the Chrysler minivan. Two of the people died including a 9-year-old boy from Kiel and 7-year-old girl from Manitowoc.

Three other girls ages 10 and 8, all from Manitowoc, were in the minivan. State Patrol says the girls' injuries are not life threatening.
