APPLETON (WLUK) -- The results of an autopsy on a body found in the Fox River over the weekend are still pending.

On Saturday, a body was recovered from the Fox River, near Heesakker Park in Little Chute.

An autopsy on the body was complete Monday but the medical examiner in Milwaukee County is still working to make a positive identification.

The Outagamie County Sheriff's Office reached out to Appleton Police to help with the investigation. Appleton police say they were contacted because they are investigating the recent disappearance of Caitlyn Pa Chia Xiong. The 20-year-old was last seen Oct. 5.

Officials say it may take several days for the medical examiner to positively identify the body and no updates on the case will be released until then.
