OSHKOSH (WLUK) -- The Oshkosh Police Department says three homes were robbed over the past two months.

Officials say a man claiming to be an employee of the Water Department or another city department asked to enter the home to check something in the basement.

Elderly singles were the victims of all three of the robberies and all three reported money missing after the man left, police say.

The robberies took place between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Police say people should look for proper representation or identification before letting others into your home.
