Police: 4-year-old dies after being hit by a vehicle

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WLUK) -- A 4-year-old girl who was hit by a vehicle Thursday died in the hospital, according to the Oshkosh Police Department.

The crash happened just after 2 p.m. in the 1300 block of W. South Park Avenue.

The girl was riding her bike when she was hit by the vehicle.

W. South Park Avenue has been closed between W. 18th Ave and Knapp Street.

"I don't have all the specific details, but we are closing the roads down while the active investigation team is on scene. We are collecting evidence and mapping out the accident," Officer Kate Mann with the Oshkosh Police Department said. "When this road is open we will notify people."
