GREEN BAY, Wis. (WLUK) – Papermaker P.H. Glatfelter would pay at least $20.5 million to settle a lawsuit with the state and federal government for PCB contamination of the Fox River, according to new court filings.

According to documents obtained by Fox 11, $20 million would be applied to cover costs previously incurred by the EPA, with the rest applied toward natural resource damages. And, Glatfelter would pay all future EPA and state costs for the remaining work.

A public comment period is required before the consent decree can be finalized and approved by the court.
