Packers Foundation awards $800,000 in grants

GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- The Green Bay Packers Foundation awarded $800,000 to 230 civic and charitable groups throughout the state.

Those receiving the grants attended a luncheon at Lambeau Field Wednesday.

Of the 230, 30 grants, totaling $107,500, were given to Brown County organizations. Among those include Greater Green Bay YMCA, Green Bay Botanical Garden, Howe Community Resource Center and the Children's Museum of Green Bay.

The foundation set a record by donating $1.8 million in total this year.

Since 1986, the foundation has distributed more than $10.6 million to charitable causes.
