Man charged with threatening GBPD officer who killed Jonathon Tubby
GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- After a man was shot and killed by a Green Bay police officer, a man has been charged for threatening to kill that officer.
It happened two weeks after officials arrested 26-year-old Jonathan C. Tubby, of Green Bay.
Officials say a confrontation started in the sally port of the Brown County Jail, following Tubby's arrest on October 19.
Now, 33-year-old Elliot Wilber is charged with making a threat to law enforcement.
The YouTube video Wilber posted threatening the officer who shot and killed Tubby has been taken down.
However, according to a criminal complaint, Wilber said “there’s going to be something done” and “families will be killed.”
Authorities say he also said he was “going to kill the cop” and “he will start going hostile.”
Wilber posted an "apology" video to YouTube titled "Elliott Wilbur's I'm kind of sorry I should have said it the correct way."
Warning: The video posted to YouTube includes recurring profanity, and should be viewed with caution.
In the video, Wilber says he was intoxicated at the time of the first video threatening the officer that killed Tubby.
Wilber was taken into custody without incident.
The criminal complaint says someone at the home told police there was a loaded AK-47 in the house.
