FOND DU LAC (WLUK) -- Fond du Lac Police were called to a residence for a false 911 call.

Police say the incident happened on the 100 block of 3rd Street just before 10 Friday night.

The man calling said another man was inside of the basement with a gun, holding a woman hostage.

Police say the phone line then disconnected.

911 dispatch officials tried calling the phone back, but it went to voicemail.

Officers set up a perimeter around the home.

The SWAT team made contact with four occupants.

The four people were then questioned by police.

The SWAT team then searched the residence, but did not find any victims or anyone else in the home.

A 27-year-old man was arrested at a home on the 100 block of East 1st Street.

Police have not released his name.
