GREENVILLE (WLUK) -- More than 400 people competed in the "Pulling for Honor," competition in September at Appleton International Airport.

Teams of 20 people pulled a 200,000 pound 737 plane to raise money for the Old Glory Honor Flight.

Friday, the organization was presented with a check for $75,000.

The goal is to fund a one-honor flight for 90 veterans and their guardians.

"This is a big chunk of money and this amount of money, typically one flight, Old Glory Honor Flight costs us $75,000. So their goal was to cover one flight to Washington, D.C. and back and that's exactly what they did," said Old Glory Honor Flight vice president, Lorraine Van Kampen.

Old Glory Honor Flight typically runs five honor flights each year.

Van Kampen says they're aiming to do five next year as well.
