OCONTO (WLUK) -- When a woman wasn't physically able to dig out of her home after Blizzard Evelyn, officials in Oconto came to her rescue.

On Monday afternoon, Oconto police received a call of a woman who was stranded inside her home on Locust Avenue.

She had no family or friends in the area, so police responded with backup and shovels.

With the help of Oconto firefighters and Marty Saffran from Saffran Construction, the driveway and porch were cleared.
