Conviction upheld in Forest County beating case
MADISON (WLUK) - A state appeals court Tuesday upheld Justin Bey’s sentence in a Forest County beating case.
Bey was convicted of four counts, including attempted homicide, for the March 2014 attack. He was sentenced to 18 years in prison.
Bey’s lawyer filed a report with the appeals court, saying there was no basis for any appeal. In its decision, the court agreed.
Bey and three others claimed the victim inappropriately touched a child. Police say the group beat the man for several days and left him for dead in the woods. Proseuctors said the allegations against the victim were unfounded.
