GRAND CHUTE (WLUK) -- Clay Matthews and Davante Adams will be the new captains of this year's Green & Gold Charity Softball Game at Fox Cities Stadium, sources tell FOX 11.

The charity softball game, previously led by former Packers player Jordy Nelson, is set for June 2.

Last month, Nelson was released by the team and signed with the Oakland Raiders.

Nelson had been the face of the softball game, taking over for Donald Driver in 2013.

“I’ve really enjoyed hosting the softball game the last four years and I’m glad to see it’s in good hands with Clay and Davante as co-captains,” said Nelson. “I also appreciate that the game will continue to support Young Life as it has in the past. Enjoy the game, Packers fans. I know it will be entertaining as always!”

Lammi Sports Management, which puts on the softball game, says Matthews and Adams will draft the teams.

Proceeds from the event will benefit charity including Young Life.

Tickets are still available through the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers Ticket Office. Reserved bleacher seats are $29 and general admission grass seats are $14.
