MANITOWOC COUNTY, Wis. (WLUK) -- Authorities in Manitowoc County say they are investigating the cause of a 7-year-old boy's death.

Officials say they were called to the Holy Family Memorial Medical Center around 4 p.m. Friday for an unresponsive juvenile.

Investigators say the boy was taken to the facility by an adult family member.

The boy, identified as Ethan Hauschultz, was pronounced dead at 9:22 p.m.

Hauschultz's mother, Andrea Everett, spoke to FOX 11 Monday and said she is hoping to get justice for her son and the person responsible should be in jail.

"When I got there Ethan did not have a heart beat and his temperature was 23 degrees. They worked on him for five hours, giving him CPR the entire time, and still couldn't get a heartbeat. There was no brain activity," said Everett.

An autopsy was performed on Hauschultz Monday and investigators say they are looking into a residence in the Town of Newton where the incident originated.

Hauschultz was at a relative's house when the incident happened.

Authorities are not releasing the cause of death, only calling it a "suspicious death."

"But no one is arrested at all," Everett said. "I mean, my 7-year-old died for no reason at all."

Everett says she will never get over the pain of losing her child, but right now, she is just hoping for answers.

"I want justice for my son, and the person responsible should go to jail for a very long time," she said.
