Man whose burglaries led to Marinette Co. manhunt sentenced
MARINETTE (WLUK) – The man responsible for a series of burglaries and who led authorities on a weekend-long manhunt was sentenced Thursday to 26 years in prison.
Chad Setunsky was convicted of eight different charges for burglary and endangering safety charges from a variety of incidents. He must also pay $41,036.61 in restitution, according to court records.
Ashley Niewierowski was previously sentenced to six years in prison.
Niewierowski and Setunsky allegedly stole an ATM from a Stephenson convenience store on the morning of April 8, 2017. After an extensive search, the pair was arrested the following afternoon.
Setunsky originally faced 29 more counts than Niewierowski for other, previous incidents.
FOX 11 was there when she was arrested, where Niewierowski said, “I didn’t want to do any of this.”
