GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- A man was sentenced to life in prison for the shooting death of another man.

22-year-old Richard Arrington will be eligible for parole after 35 years.

Prosecutors say Arrington opened fire on a house on Day Street in April of 2016, killing 25-year-old Ricardo Gomez.

During sentencing, Arrington said his heart goes out to the Gomez family and he never intended for this to happen. He also said Gomez put himself in harm's way by hanging out with the wrong crowd.

The judge said Arrington shows no remorse and made a wrong choice.
