BEYERS COVE (WLUK) -- A 79-year-old Princeton man fell through the ice Friday, according to the Green Lake County Sheriff's Office.

The man was ice fishing when he broke through the ice about five miles south of Princeton.

Deputies received several calls around 3:00 p.m. and were on the scene in less than ten minutes.

Sheriff Mark Podoll, who was on the scene, says that it is too late in the year to be on the ice, even if only on foot.
