TOWN OF ROCKLAND – One man is in jail after investigators found marijuana and thousands of dollars in cash in Manitowoc County.Sheriff's officials say it started Friday night in New Holstein, which is in Calumet County. That's when they say they pulled over a 39-year old man. They say, during that stop, they found drugs in his vehicle. But that's not all officials found.Seventy-eight pounds of marijuana and $35,000 in cash were taken from a home in Collins.Investigators also found eight pounds of marijuana and $1,000 in cash in the man's vehicle when he was pulled over. Two children were also in the vehicle at the time. The drugs and cash are worth more than $335,000.Thirty-nine-year old Brian Guilmette appeared in court for a bond hearing in connection with this case. However, he has not been formally charged."It kind of works like other drug operations work. You're able to make an arrest on one person and they flip on other people so it's just kind of going down that line and we knew that there was, information that we had gained, we knew that there was a pretty substantial supplier in Manitowoc County," said Lt. Mark Wiegert of Calumet County Sheriff's Department.Officials say those drugs were coming from California.Guilmette's bond has been set at $100,000. He is expected to be back in court, in two weeks.
