DE PERE (WLUK) -- Calm wind, warm temperature and a blue sky.

It's the kind of weather Scott Vesely of Mosinee doesn't want to see go away.

"Can't ask for anything better so I blew off a day at work, came and enjoyed the weather," Vesely said.

Vesely and his friend, Brandon Leher of Wausau, knew they had to get out on the Fox River in De Pere before the chill of autumn comes back.

"We're going to stay here and go out fishing for one more day, head home watch the Packer game and then get ready for the cold I guess," said Leher.

Plenty of people were taking advantage of the beautiful weather by walking, biking, fishing and some are just sitting by the water enjoying the view.

Shannon Salter of Milwaukee said, "I knew it was going to be one of the last day to enjoy the weather, so I was really excited to spend the day, like looking at the pretty leaves as well as reflecting down by the water."

Other families were soaking in the warmth by watching their children run and play at Titletown Park in Ashwaubenon.

Briana Delgado from Green Bay said, "It was definitely a nice surprise and that's why we decided to come out and spend the evening with the family and enjoy the weather at the park."

"We decided when the kids came home from school, this will probably be the last day you can really get out and have a lot of fun outside and run around," Piet VanKampen of Green Bay said.

As people embrace for what's next, Delgado reminds us that as a Wisconsinite, you always have to be ready for the cold weather.

The average high temperature for November is in the 40's.
