MONTPELIER (WLUK) -- The driver of a milk truck had to be extricated from the vehicle following a crash in Kewaunee County Monday.

The rollover happened on State Highway 29, east of County Highway AB around 6:00 a.m.

Officials say upon arrival, the semi tractor pulling a milk tanker had left the roadway and landed on its side with the driver still inside the cab.

The driver, a 21-year-old Kewaunee man, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The Department of Natural Resources was called to the scene. They say the majority of the raw milk was saved and transferred to another tanker. Officials believe approximately 500 gallons of milk was released into the ditch.
