GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- A local organization is helping government workers.

They are without a paycheck, because of the partial government shutdown.

The group, "Jake's Diapers, will hold a pop-up pantry event next Monday.

It will take place at the Family and Childcare resources building in Green Bay, where government employees can get diapers and hygiene products for their child.

"It's those basic hygiene necessities we tend not to think about, when we think about poverty we think about food, clothing, shelter and water but diapers and period products are two overlooked basic needs so we are happy to supply these to our furloughed families," said Stephanie Bowers with Jake's Diapers.

Government workers must bring a work ID and a birth certificate for their child to be eligible.
